Hello All,

I am Gregory Proctor, and I serve as the board of directors president for Gisele’s School Non-Profit Organization based in the United States. I wanted to take the opportunity to highlight an unsung hero, Latufatu {la-tif-a]Ouedraogo. The love that teachers have for their student pupils holds no geographical boundaries.

The second campus is doing great things!

Latifa is a certified teacher at the second campus. Last school year, two students spoke a local dialect (Moorre'). By the end of the school year, those students were speaking French and reading on a first and second-grade local level.

I spoke with Latifa via telephone and expressed gratitude for her efforts and serving as the Lead Teacher as she apprentices the assistant teachers as they prepare to become certified teachers.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in Gisele’s School and her mission of providing quality education. These amazing updates are only possible because of you!

Gisele organized a ceremony at the school to celebrate the New Year and provide an enjoyable experience for the children, who were dressed in traditional outfits. The event featured various performances, including plays, songs, dances, and a fashion show. Notable attendees included two representatives of the district chief, an inspector from the Ministry of Education, a representative from the district Police Station, and members of the NGO CLIF International, who had all accepted the invitation to the ceremony.

In her closing speech, Gisele expressed gratitude for the significant support that has sustained the school, with special recognition for the regular financial assistance provided for operational expenses. She also shared the school's history and thanked everyone for attending. A group photo was taken with all the invitees before refreshments were served, bringing the event to a close.
